Software engineer and product manager Maggie Liuzzi specialises in deep tech, having worked in machine learning, artificial intelligence and robotics. At the University of Technology Sydney, her research focused on advancing people recognition skills on humanoid robots, contributing to a Home category win at the international RoboCup 2019.
Liuzzi is currently working for an Australian quantum technology startup where she applied deep reinforcement learning to the field of quantum computing, publishing a paper in a prestigious physics journal.
She also volunteers with Girls' Programming Network and Code Like a Girl, teaching teenage girls how to code and mentoring women in STEM.
