Fractal opens second office in Australia

Fractal Analytics opens second office in Australia to meet increased demand for artificial intelligence and analytics services

US-India-based Fractal Analytics has opened a second office in Australia.

The office in Melbourne, Victoria, will meet increased demand for design, data, artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics services in Australia. The investment will create 60 jobs.

Abundant talent and government support

Founded in 2000, Fractal provides AI and advanced analytics to the banking, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and retail sectors.

The company chose Melbourne for its new office because the city has a strong pool of tech professionals from which it can find staff.

Fractal also received support from Invest Victoria and will use the Victorian Government’s Digital Jobs program to integrate its new hires. The company also plans to work with universities in Melbourne to cultivate a future pipeline of talent.

Fractal opened its first Australian office in Sydney in 2018. The company cited Australia’s long-term economic stability, English-speaking market, and good talent as key factors in its decision to invest in the country. Eighteen months after opening its Sydney office, the Australian operation was contributing to the company’s global revenue.

Australia’s A$167 billion tech sector

Australia is an ideal launch market for new technologies. The country is an early adopter and has an advanced digital infrastructure to support the rollout of new technologies.

International companies can find a deep pool of IT professionals and world-leading institutions undertaking research in frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, cyber security and quantum computing.

There are also generous grants and incentives to support investment and research and development.
